RCMP Fatigue Management Program

The Fatigue Management program examines common sleep disorders, discusses strategies, and presents measures to counteract factors leading to a person's fatigue. Participants will explore the basic science of sleep, analyze its relationship to shift work and law enforcement, and learn strategies to improve their overall health, sleep quality, and work/life balance.

What is the goal of this program?

The reality is that shift work in law enforcement impacts all employees. So the goal of this program is to provide those members with proven strategies for the self-management of common problems associated with shift work and extended hours of operation, both of which can lead to fatigue, risk for health problems, and impaired performance.
